Belarus’ Tourism Agency, Rostourism to sign agreement on cooperation
MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – The National Tourism Agency of Belarus and the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation. The matter is on the agenda of the visit of the Rostourism delegation to Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.
The visit is scheduled for 5-6 April. The delegation that is to be led by Rostourism head Oleg Safonov will comprise representatives of travel business and mass media of the Russian Federation.
The visit will include a roundtable session which will highlight the main areas of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the touristic sector. The Russian delegation will also get familiar with a number of tourism facilities of Minsk and take part in the international spring exhibition of tourism services Recuperation 2016.
Russia is Belarus’ main tourism market. Russian tourists traditionally account for nearly 70% of Belarus' visitors. In 2015 the number of Russian tourists reduced. This year the Sport and Tourism Ministry of Belarus forecasts an increase in the numbers of Russian travelers.
